Expectations:

The imager is a tool that helps Dr. Stein show you possible results so you can see what  the change might look like. No other facial plastic surgery procedure requires as much understanding of facial balance, harmony and symmetry as cosmetic rhinoplasty. More than any other procedure, rhinoplasty is a sculpting process that relies on the skill of the surgeon and his understanding of the intricacies of the healing process in the nose. Dr. Stein has performed hundreds of rhinoplasty procedures and is well versed in dealing with even the most complicated revision cases.

Dr. Stein underwent fellowship training in facial plastic surgery and is double board certified in both Facial Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery (the specialty which deals with breathing problems in the nose). This gives him a unique combination of experience to deal with both the aesthetic and functional issues surrounding nasal surgery.

By carefully sculpting and reshaping the underlying structure of the nose, Dr Stein is able to create a more balanced and pleasing shape. Sometimes the affects are dramatic such as in the removal of a "hump" from the bridge of the nose. Often, however, the results he tries to achieve are much more subtle, such as in the careful contouring and refining of the tip of the nose. Occasionally, a significant change is required, such as when he performs a revision procedure to correct a severe deformity created by previous surgery. Sometimes a patient has a weak chin that accentuates how prominent their nose appears. In this case, Dr Stein performs a rhinoplasty in combination with a Chin Augmentation procedure to achieve facial harmony. The usual recovery time for rhinoplasty is seven days.
